Nordic Light Hotel

This hotel is less than 2 minutes from the Arlanda Express. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are well-appointed. The breakfast is good, and the layout is relaxing. The bar area is full of life, and the restaurant food is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to the business person looking for comfort and excellent surroundings in a great location.

Lovely hotel, very Nordic style rooms. Staff were super helpful. Some great Swedish beers to try in the bar! Breakfast had many options again including some local dishes. Centrally located in the city close to underground, train and Arlanda express.

My first visit to Stockholm and a very happy one. Easy to access from the airport to the hotel by short train ride then just 200m to the hotel.

I was impressed with the room I was staying. The hotel is ideally situated about a 2 minute walk from the Arlanda express from the airport. Also central for one of the main shopping areas in Stockholm. Only one stop on the subway to Gamla Stan (the old town) one of Stockholm's main jewels. The reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and service minded. Though someone might have a word with the breakfast staff. Tell them to not look so miserable, and say good morning. The breakfast was pretty good with a good selection of offerings. I really like hotels that serve real fried eggs. Though the bacon was a bit overcooked to say the least. I have no problem recommending the Nordic Light Hotel. I would happily stay here again.

I have stayed three times at the Nordic Light Hotel in the last few months, with my wife or on my own. Each visit reconfirms my first impression, that this is a very good and well managed property. Rooms are bright and spotless and well equipped, for example with ample space for clothes etc (this seems to be a losing priority at many hotels world-wide, putting a smart visual impression before practical use). Breakfast is excellent and presented in a way that queues (also a testing experience at so many hotels) appear next to non-existent. But, above all, each and all staff (and I have met more than a dozen of them) are extraordinary friendly, helpful and professional. For example, when my wife and I had an issue with the remote control to the TV in our room, I went downstairs to get us two glasses of wine from the bar and at the same time alert the front desk about the TV issue, got my drinks very quickly and returned to our room, where - to my utter surprise - a replacement control was just being delivered! Last, an added advantage for me, living outside Stockholm and usually arriving by train to Stockholm Central Station (as do, by the way, also air travellers who use the quick airport train to get into the city), I can enter the hotel lobby around 5 minutes after jumping off the train! There are several other hotels nearby, all at least of reasonable quality, some of them charging slightly lower room rates. However, I intend from now on to check first with Nordic Light whenever planning to stay overnight in Stockholm.
