Quality Hotel™ Globe

the location was great, we had easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and tourist attractions. Staff always kind and ready to help.

The hotel is very much interconnected with Globe and hence it can be practical if one is attending something there, but the location is a bit far off from the central part of Stockholm and although it is reasonable to reach with public transportation reaching it is not immediate. The hotel rooms are tidy and reasonably comfortable with a quite simple, very scandinavian style, and reasonably practical. The hotel per se' is quite anonymous and I think it lack charm, but of course, it serves well its purpose. Breakfast is quite standard, also that very scandinavian and with the essentials to have a quite well covered meal. What surprises me most was that the breakfast tables were having the view over the padel courts, making the breakfast far from cosy and quite disturbing as well. I count that there were tables also without that view. Otherwise, all together, a decent staying with no complains and nothing remarkable.

Very easy to park, short distance from car to reception. Short walkway to the subway. Very good breakfast.

Great location . Good restaurant at entrance and lots of amenities for kids and families BUT 1) cleaning service must be booked 22:00 day before and like me no one warn me so for two days I had to clean my own room on a 4 star hotel 2) unbelievable noice from AC or god knows what in the ceiling . Very hard to sleep . Maintance did nothing . I figured by removing the card all electrify goes down so by day 2 I spend nights with no AC , no light , no bathroom light no charging phone but at least sleeping One last thing . When you book the cleaning service for a time , don’t believe it mine showed up at 8:00am while dressing up . If you leave the no disturb sign you might miss your cleaning chance

Point of View: I chose this hotel for the price, and ignored the distance from the center of town, while a marathon in Stockholm was driving prices well up from the average in the more centrally located hotels. We visited when no events were happening at the local venues so the whole surrounding area seemed deserted and industrial or drab. I'd give this hotel a 4 except for a few reasons: 1) the hotel is far from the metro system (a 10-15 minute walk through a maze of roads, stairs and industrial-looking buildings) 2) the room smelled stale and the windows cannot be opened 3) there is no a/c so you can't easily remedy problem number 2. We had to ask the front desk for a fan to get some air flowing around the room. I'm not sure there'd be enough fans for everyone who needed one if the hotel were full in summer. Now for the good. Breakfast buffet is great! Lots of good food options in a large, well-maintained space. The room was clean and quite comfortable apart from the above. The curtains do a good job of blocking the sun at dawn, which in summer, starts to disturb sleep around 3:30 AM if you are sensitive to light, The room was a good size for 2 people. The modern vibe lobby is fun at night! There were no children at the hotel when we were there but adults were enjoying beer and cocktails while they chatted, played games like table shuffleboard, skeeball and a mini soccer game for two players. All of this added to a fun ambience. Draft beer at the lobby bar is about $9. Check in was fast and easy, but no one on the staff of the hotel seemed to be particularly oriented toward a welcoming hospitality. Definitely good option if you are going to Avici Center for an event.
