Comfort Hotel® Winn

We went for the World Rally Championship weekend and this made a good base. The bus from the airport takes just 10 minutes and the hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the stop. The room was clean and spacious with a good view of much of the city (Room 917). Two decent sized single beds. No kettle or fridge but you could boil water down in reception and there were snacks available for purchase. Major plus points - they modify their breakfast times for big events so we were able to get a good full breakfast much earlier than the advertised 7.30 a.m. start time. This made it easy to eat before we caught the Umea Buss service to the stages outside of the city (stop was less than a 5 minute walk). The 18.00 check out time on Sundays was great as the rally was all over by about 14.30. We ate in the restaurant on the ground floor before catching the bus back to the airport. The only downside was that Strawberry only leases the space to the restaurant so we couldn't use a present card towards the meal. Room availability for the rally - we originally booked the other Comfort hotel in November when only three hotels were showing availability. In the fortnight before the event most of the hotels had rooms which freed up at prices which were no worse than the November prices. We switched to Winn as we only needed a twin and not the more expensive family room at the other hotel. Prices are still pushed up significantly by demand (about 3 to 4 times compared to other weekends).

All Good, Good hotel in city centre, shopping mall under the hotel, car parking 500m, you need easypark -app Staff was good, breakfast good, room super, i booked by booking.com (first they give me wrong room, because i booked corner room) Offcourse i visit this hotel and same room again.

Professional staff, good food & location are some great features, breakfast was included in the hotel tariff and worthwhile with variety and catered to different diets. Located opposite function centre and next to a big shopping centre - very central. The' lazy' Sunday was a bonus - you could check out much later, I think at 6.00pm! Reception staff were very obliging. Good for business or leisure.

New funky hotel. Good breakfast buffee with lots of choices. The hotel is in the very city center so I you come by car its hard tto know where to drive, it might be a good idea to call recption before arrival to get parknign instructions. Friendly staff,

This place is very centrally located and there's a public parking garage nearby (90 SEK/9 Euro per 24 hours), bus station is right in front of the hotel. Our room/bathroom was modern, very clean and you had not much, but enough space. The only thing that bothered me was that you can't open the window to get some fresh air...there's no air conditioning either, only air ventilation. Staff was friendly and helpful and the included breakfast buffet was tasty and of a broad variety.
