Plah – a taste of Thailand in Oslo
Through the twin restaurants of Plah & Ahaan you can experience the culinary arts in Thailand. When you enter the doors of Sommerro at Solli plass in Oslo, you can savour authentic Thai cooking from Plah's delicious tasting menu - or enjoy the pleasures of sharing tasty street food at Ahaan.
Long cooking history at Plah
Sommerro, on Solli plass in Oslo, is a rich and diverse meeting place, filled with different experiences and open to everyone. Here you can discover the flavours and smells of real Thai cooking with all the tasty dishes that Thailand offers. Plah opened its doors back in 2004 at Majorstuen in Oslo, and was the first modern Thai restaurant in Scandinavia. Later, Plah moved to the newly opened Sommerro and, together with Ahaan, the two restaurants offer a twin restaurant concept.
Tasting menu, street food & shared dishes
Plah serves a rich seasonal tasting menu with a wide variety of dishes, while Ahaan offers the pleasures of street food and shared dishes. Plah's menu has evolved over the years, based on the influences of Norway combined with a deep understanding of Thai cuisine drawn from regular visits to Thailand - "Thai food is about freshness, and the balance between sweet, salty and bitter", says Terje Ommundsen, who oversees both Plah and Ahaan and is renowned as Norway's best Thai chef.
17 seats and a private room
