Hotel history

Clarion Collection Hotel Drott is steeped in history! The Art Noveau style lives on in the stucco design details including wonderful 3-metre-high ceilings. The building was constructed in 1909 and has previously even housed a bakery, a bank, exclusive mansion flats and three famous photographers, and the hotel dining room was once a cinema!

Daily evening meal included

We want to making things easier for you, so in addition to our daily buffet breakfast, guests can also enjoy our complimentary "fika" in the afternoons and an evening meal with a main course and salad. You can find out more about food and drink here at the hotel under Services. We also have a lovely lobby bar, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and a range of snacks and light meals.

There's something for everyone in Karlstad, and when you stay with us you'll be ideally situated to explore all that this city has to offer! The main attractions include the Karlstad Theatre, Nöjesfabriken (entertainment centre), Karlstad CCC (Congress Culture Centre), Löfbergs Lila Arena, the beautiful Sandgrundsudden Park and the Lars Lerin Museum.

Our popular Drott Bar just next to the hotel is much more than just a bar! The Drott Bar has been a popular hangout for both visitors and Karlstad locals since 2006.
